Thats a big problem with wooden wick candles, its really difficult to blow them out. Thats why I prefer cotton wick candles. I think wooden wick candles are just a fad, and I'm not really sure how safe they are either. Does anyone know if wooden wick candles are natural soy candles?

Another idea is to use a pair of tweezers to smother the flame in the molten wax...should completely eliminate the black smoke.

Cheers, Jo

I think it is great that you are using all natural products! These type of candles are so much healthier to burn for people and their pets. I am glad the testing is over for you and that you have much success with your candle business.

I can relate to the black smoke and the smell that an extiguished candle leave behind. I think that a descent snuffer is a wise thing to invest in. I have a website as well and would appreciate it if you take a look at it and tell me which snuffer would work best with my candles. You can also leave a commit about my site on the contact us page. The address is www.essenceofcandles.com.
